Runs with Scissors is a Dark Age of Camelot guild on the Gaheris server. We strive to help our members, allies, and other Dark Age of Camelot players through the use of each characters class abilities and tradeskills. For anyone looking to find our picture gallery (archive), please accept our apologies for needing to take it down. Due to spamming our picture gallery comments, and the fact that the guild is not active in DAoC right now, we have opted to disable it for the moment. Nothing has been lost, but merely stopped.

New Login Poll

As noted in Mythic's news below, there's a new login poll. I would suggest, just since it is in so many games, an in-game mail service over any other voice chat services.

Just my opinion, but please do vote, and don't mark "I don't care" :-| It doesn't help things when Mythic receives that answer more than any other.

A few updates were done to the website's XML feeds long ago, which I just got around to fixing.

Mythic removed the "Inactive" status from the XML feeds, replacing it with "3_Months" making all users show up on our Member Roster. I've made the changes, and now, if you're character has not been touched in 3 months or so, that character will show up under the inactive list. This will clean up the roster a bit, showing who is really playing, and who hasn't been online in awhile. Also, the "/anon" flag is back on, so anonymous users will show up on the roster, just italicized.

Labor Day Bonus! 9/3/2010 - 9/7/2010

Greetings!

In celebration of the (U.S.) Labor Day Holiday Weekend, we've enabled the following bonuses across the Realms:

Normal Ruleset Servers:

200% bonus to XP in all Classic zones and dungeons. 200% bonus to BP gained in all New Frontiers zones.

Mordred:

200% bonus to BP in all Classic zones and dungeons and New Frontiers zones.

Gaheris

200% bonus to XP in all Classic zones and dungeons. 200% Bonus to BP in Capital Cities.

These bonuses are now active and run until 9/7/2010.

Server Maintenance - Pendragon 9/2/2010

Status - Maintenance complete. Pendragon is back online. 

Greetings!

We will be bringing Pendragon offline tomorrow afternoon, 9/2/2010, at 2:00 PM EDT to deploy the first version of Patch 1.106. At this time we anticipate that Pendragon will be back online no later than 7:00 PM EDT. As always, please be sure to check the Herald for updates regarding this maintenance.

Highlights for the 1.106 Test Version include:

All new quest hubs added into Battlegrounds! Itemization improvements for items found in Tepok's Mine, The Cursed Tomb and Koalinth Caverns! The capacity of Housing Lockboxes has been increased to hold 8 weeks worth of rent!

The Infernal Auction Draws to a Close - 8/30

After lining their pockets with gold and plat earned from the sale of bloodstained weapons scavenged from the battlefield, the Infernal Merchants have begun to strike their camps and set their sites to distant lands and their next fortune. The Merchant camps will remain, offering their remaining wares, until 8/30/2010. Be certain to visit these travelling salesmen before Monday, for their wares may never be seen in the Realms again!

Hot Fix - 8/26/2010

Greetings!

We have the following Hot Fix for the Glamorgan server only:

Fixed an issue where Frontier Keeps and Towers could not be properly claimed. As a result of this fix, many Frontier Keeps and Towers on the Glamorgan Cluster remain unclaimed and are now open for claiming.

Extended Network Maintenance - 8/25/2010

Status - Maintenance complete. EU servers back online. 

Update 10:15 PM EDT/04.15 CET - We will not be bringing North American servers offline for this maintenance. Only Kattraeth and Glamorgan will be brought offline for this maintenance.

Monday, 08/23/10 at 12:15AM EDT the European servers Glamorgan and Kattraeth will be brought offline for a restart. We anticipate this maintenance to be completed by 1:15AM EDT.
